What does Countdown Buddy actually send?
Every morning until your target date, each recipient gets one personalized email. It's written by AI in the persona you picked, using the context you supplied. It's never the same note twice and it always reflects how many days are left.
How much does it cost?
Seven days free with full access, then $9.95 per month or $99.50 per year (two months free). Cancel any time from your dashboard. No credit card required to start the trial.
Can I send the same countdown to multiple people?
Yes. Add as many recipients as you want to a single countdown — your partner, your wedding party, your accountability group. Each person gets their own copy in their own inbox.
How does the AI know what to write about?
When you create a countdown you can answer eight optional context prompts: who is reading it, why this matters, backstory, inside jokes, things to mention, things to avoid, and tone. Combined with the persona you pick, this is what makes the emails sound like they were written by someone who actually knows the situation.
Which AI personas are available?
Twelve writing styles: The Escapist, The Hype Man, The Stoic Planner, The Poet Laureate, The Drill Sergeant, The Best Friend, The Zen Master, The Comedy Roast, The Strategist, The Storyteller, The Mystic, and The Journalist. You can also edit the generated prompt or write your own from scratch.
Will the same email arrive every day?
No. The AI rewrites each morning's note with the current day count and fresh angle. The persona stays consistent; the writing does not repeat.
What kinds of dates does it work for?

Can I theme the countdown?
Yes. Pick from 18+ stock themes (Midnight Indigo, Cherry Blossom, Noir & Gold, Brutalist Pop, Cloud White, and more) or design your own. The theme shows on your dashboard countdown view.
Is my information private?
Yes. We never sell or share recipient emails or the context you write. The AI calls are scoped to your countdown and used only to generate that day's email.
How do I cancel?
From the dashboard at any time. You keep access for the rest of the period you've paid for and emails stop after that.
Do recipients need an account?
No. They just receive the daily emails. Only the person who created the countdown needs an account.
What if I want to change the persona or context later?
Edit anytime from the dashboard. The next morning's email picks up the new persona and context automatically.
